Apple Crisp













  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 t. baking powder
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 t. cinnamon
  • 1/4 t. nutmeg
  • 5 medium sized apples, sliced
  • 1/2 t. lemon juice, sprinkled on apple slices to prevent browning
  • butter as needed

Combine dry ingredients and add egg into the mixture, until crumbly.  Place apple slices into a baking dish, and evenly distribute crust topping over the apples.  Add small pieces of butter in random spots on top and bake at 350* for 30 minutes.  Makes 4 to 6 servings.
