- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 t. baking powder
- 1/4 t. salt
- 1 egg
- 1 t. cinnamon
- 1/4 t. nutmeg
- 5 medium sized apples, sliced
- 1/2 t. lemon juice, sprinkled on apple slices to prevent browning
- butter as needed
Combine dry ingredients and add egg into the mixture, until crumbly. Place apple slices into a baking dish, and evenly distribute crust topping over the apples. Add small pieces of butter in random spots on top and bake at 350* for 30 minutes. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
